भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने दृष्टिहीन लोगों के लिए MANI एप्लिकेशन लॉन्च किया
- भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक के गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने 1 जनवरी 2020 को एक मोबाइल ऐप-MANI (मोबाइल एडेड नोट आइडेंटिफ़ायर) लॉन्च किया।
- इससे दृष्टिहीन लोगों को मुद्रा नोटों के मूल्यवर्ग की पहचान करने में मदद मिलेगी।
- एक बार इंस्टॉल होने के बाद यह एप्लिकेशन ऑफलाइन भी काम करेगा। उपयोगकर्ता एंड्रॉइड प्लेस्टोर या iOS ऐप स्टोर से 'MANI' नामक ऐप को स्वतंत्र रूप से डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं।
- यह एप्लिकेशन मोबाइल फोन के कैमरे का उपयोग करके करेंसी नोटों की स्कैनिंग करेगा। यह हिंदी और अंग्रेजी में ऑडियो आउटपुट देता है।
- 'महात्मा गांधी सीरीज' के तहत केंद्रीय बैंक ने नवंबर 2016 में विमुद्रीकरण के बाद आकार और डिजाइन में महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव के साथ कई करेंसी नोट पेश किए हैं।
- नई श्रृंखला के तहत, पिछले कुछ वर्षों में 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 और 2,000 रुपये के बैंक नोट जारी किए गए हैं।
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched MANI app
- Shaktikanta Das, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, launched a mobile app - MANI (Mobile Aided Note Identifier) on 1 January 2020.
- This will help the blind to identify the denomination of currency notes.
- Once installed, this application will also work offline. Users can freely download an app called 'MANI' from Android Playstore or iOS App Store.
- This application will scan currency notes using mobile phone camera. It provides audio output in Hindi and English.
- Under the 'Mahatma Gandhi Series', the central bank introduced several currency notes with significant changes in size and design after demonetisation in November 2016.
- Under the new series, bank notes worth 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 2,000 rupees have been issued in the last few years.
